Which Social Injustice did you choose to highlight?
WE CHOSE THE DREADFUL ADVENT OF CHILD LABOUR
WHY IS THIS SOCIAL INJUSTICE A VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHT?
Child labour can result in extreme bodily and mental harm, and even death. It can lead to slavery and sexual or economic exploitation. And in nearly every case, it cuts children off from schooling and health care, restricting their fundamental rights and threatening their futures.
how you first learned about the happening of this injustice/abuse in your

OUR INTERVIEW HAD A MARVELOUS OUTCOME. IT WAS AN HONOUR HAVING MRS PRIYANKA JAIN WITH US. SHE IS A PROFESSOR AT A PRESTIGIOUS JUNIOR COLLEGE. SHE ENCOURAGED US AND GAVE OUTSTANDING ANSWERS, MAKING US AGREE ON THE TOPIC CHILD LABOR. SHE ELABORATED HER THOUGHTS ON CHILD LABOR AND SAID THAT CHILDREN OF AGE 13-16 SHOULD BE STUDYING AND NOT WORKING.
sHE ALSO MENTIONED THAT CHILDREN HELPING THEIR PARENTS IS NOT CONSIDERED AS CHILD LABOR. IN URBAN AREAS CHILD LABOUR IS VERY LESS AS PARENTS ARE WELL EDUCATED COMPARED TO RURAL AREAS HENCE IT IS FOUND OUT THAT THE RATE OF CHILD LABOR WORKERS IN METROPOLITAN CITY ARE LESS AS COMPARED TO SMALL VILLAGES.
EVERY CHILD MUST HAVE COMPULSORY EDUCATION TILL THE AGE OF 14. THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT HAS DONE THE RIGHT THING BY PASSING A BILL THAT IS RIGHT TO EDUCATION ( RD ACT) IN 2009. HE ALSO NARRATED HIS EXPERIENCE OF WITNESSING A CHILD GETTING FORCED TO WORK IN A BRICK FACTORY AND HOW HE HELPED THE CHILD.AT LAST SHE CONCLUDED SAYING THAT CHILD LABOR SHOULD NOT CONTINUE AS IT WILL SPOIL THE GENERATION.
THEY WILL HAVE SEVERE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL PROBLEMS WHICH WILL RUIN THEIR FUTURE HENCE CHILD LABOUR SHOULD BE STOPPED. WE SHOULD TAKE A STEP FORWARD AND STOP CHILD LABOUR. NOWADAYS MANY SURVEYS HAVE BEEN DONE REGARDING THIS SUBJECT AND SHE BELIEVES THAT CHILD LABOUR WILL SOON END.

2nd Interview: AARTI CHARANIA ,NGO OWNER
The second Interview was a favourable outcome having Mr CHARANIA as our guest. She encouraged us a lot and proved good points which weren’t noticed by us.
sHe expressed his thoughts on child labour and said that it is necessary for every kid to thrive in various field. Correspondent to HER the main principle of child labour is poverty.
sHe also thinks that child labour isn’t a crime it depends upon the state of affairs, many kids of poor family try to help their families by doing any sort of work which will reduce the income load of their family. If anyone forces a child to work then it impacts our country In various ways but when you are doing something as per your wishes then its completely your choice.
At last she concluded his speech by saying that government should more digitalised so with its help people can be given knowledge everywhere around the country.

BY THE FIRST INTERVIEWEE:
WHY DO YOU THINK CHILD LABOR DEMONSTRATES A VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS?
ANS: ACCORDING TO MR. RAMESH THE AGE OF A KID UP TO 13 TO 14 IS VERY CRUCIAL AS IT IS THE GROWING AGE OF EVERY KID.
2. TO WHAT EXTENT DOES CHILD LABOR ANGERS YOU AND WHY?
ANS: THE LEVEL OF HIS ANGER ON CHILD LABOR DEPENDS UPON THE SITUATION BUT IF WE FIND A KID WORKING FOR HIS FAMILY BUSINESS THEN THAT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CASE.
3. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CHILD LABOR.
ANS: ACCORDING TO HER sHE FEELS THAT THESE DAYS THE CHILD RATE RATIO IS LESS IN URBAN AREAS AS COMPARED TO INDUSTRIAL AREAS , PARENTS LIVING IN METROPOLITAN CITIES ARE TOO CURIOUS AND WANT THEIR KIDS TO STUDY BUT IF WE GO OUTSIDE CITIES WE WILL FIND THAT A LARGE SUM OF CHILDREN WORK IN FACTORIES. IN RURAL AREAS THERE IS A DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE WE WONT FIND CHILDREN WORKING THERE BUT WE WILL FIND CHILDREN HELPING THEIR PARENTS A LOT.
4. IF YOU SEE SOME CHILD GETTING BEATEN UP BECAUSE HE/SHE IS NOT AGREEING TO WORK, WHAT WILL BE YOUR FIRST STEP TO DO AND HOW WILL YOU TACKLE SUCH SITUATION?
ANS: MRS. CHARANIA EXPLAINED HIS OWN CASE HE SAID THAT HE WENT OF CYCLING WITH HIS FRIENDS HE FOUND THAT A CHILD WAS BEING FORCED TO WORK IN A BRICK FACTORY AND BESIDE THAT AREA THEIR WERE ONLY 5-6 HOMES. THE OWNER THAT COMPANY WAS FORCING THOSE KIDS TO WORK THOUGH THEIR PARENTS WERE AGAINST IT. SO HE AND HIS FRIENDS HELPED THOSE KIDS TO ESCAPE THAT SITUATION.
5. WHAT IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF CHILD LABOR ACCORDING TO YOU?
ANS: WE GUYS DON’T HAVE TO MUCH INDEPENDENCE NOW TOO WE GUYS FORCE OUR KIDS A LOT. BUT THE MAIN CAUSE OF CHILD LABOR IS POVERTY.
6.DO YOU THINK CHILD LABOR IS A CRIME? IF YES SO WHY?
ANS: ACCORDING TO HER CHILD LABOR IS MORE THAN A CRIME IT FORCES KIDS TO WORK AND IS ALSO DISTURBING THEIR CAREER.
6. DO YOU THINK CHILD LABOR SUPPORTS A BRIGHT FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY? IF YES SO WHY?
ANS: PRACTICING CHILD LABOR IN THE FUTURE WILL SPOIL THE YOUTH AND CHILDREN MIGHT ALSO FOLLOW A WRONG COMPANY.
7. HOW DO YOU THINK THE INFORMATION OF OPPOSING CHILD LABOR AND TERMINATING IT FROM OUR SOCIETY SHOULD BE REACHED TO EVERY PEOPLE EVEN IN RURAL AREAS?
ANS: WE GUYS SHOULD BE MORE SENSIBLE AND THEIR SHOULD BE FREE EDUCATION FOR EVERY KID UPTO THE AGE OF 14 AND 16. IF WE SEE A CHILD WORKING WE MUST REPORT IT TO THE THE GOVERNMENT. NGOS SHOULD ALSO COME TOGETHER SO THAT PEOPLE CAN KNOW MORE ABOUT CHILD LABOR.
BY THE SECOND INTERVIEWEE:
1. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CHILD LABOR?
ANS: CHILD LABOR IS A WRONG THING WHICH IS PRACTICED A LOT THESE DAYS. EVERY CHILD HAS A RIGHT TO PROSPER IN VARIOUS FIELDS.
2. IF YOU SEE SOME CHILD BEATEN UP BECAUSE HE OR SHE IS NOT AGREEING TO WORK WHAT WILL BE YOUR FIRST STEP AND HOW WILL U TACKLE SUCH A SITUATION?
ANS: SHE WILL FIRST ESCAPE THAT KID FROM WORKING ALSO HE WILL TRY TO REACH UP MANY CHILDREN AND TEACH THEM ABOUT CHILD LABOR AND ITS ADVERSE EFFECT.
3. WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS AND IMPACTS OF CHILD LABOR ON OUR ECONOMY?
ANS IT DEPENDS UPON HE SITUATION BUT THE MOST IMP FACTOR IS CHOICE THESE DAYS CHILD LABOR ISN'T ABOUT WORKING IS FACTORIES BUT SOME KIDS MAKE PROFILE FOR PEOPLE ON LINKEDIN, INSTAGRAM AND MANY SOCIAL SITES. THEY ALSO WRITE SCRIPTS FOR CONTENT CREATORS. IT IS ALSO MANDATORY NECESSARY FOR THEM TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WHICH SAYS THAT THE WORK THEY ARE DONG IS NOT CHILD LABOUR. SO IN A GOOD WAY THEY ARE MAKING THE ECONOMY GROW.
4. HOW DO U THINK THE GOVERNMENT TRANSMIT THE INFORMATION AGAINST CHILD LABOR IN THE RURAL AREAS, WHERE THE PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE THE ACCESS TO SOME OF THE BASIC AMENITIES.
ANS: THESE DAYS RURAL INDIA IS FAR AHEAD IN TERMS OF TECHNOLOGY. IF WE COMPARE THE DATA OF THE RECENT YEARS WE WILL FIND THAT TECHNOLOGY HAS EVOLVED A LOT AND GROWING WITH GREAT SPEED IN BOTH URBAN AND RURAL AREAS.

COLLABRATION
Video conferencing round 1:
“Everyone has a right to peaceful coexistence, the
basic personal freedoms, the alleviation of
suffering and the opportunity to lead a productive
life."
~Jimmy Carter~
On 7th February,2023, as a part of EUMIND
PROJECT on “Human Rights” grade VIII of
N.L.Dalmia High School had the first video
conference with Lycee Ronald Garros School,
Reunion, French Territory. It was really a
cultivating time for the students to know and
exchange their views regarding the
education,culture, food, festival,cinema,
government and most importantly about human
rights of each other's countries.
Students of both the countries had a wondrous
time questioning and answering each other. It was
quite incredible to see how children of two
different countries came together on one platform
and developed a close bond for each other!

feedback for communication
unfortunately there was no interaction between NL Dalmia High school and lycee roland garros school because of the delay in project caused by them. Also their school policy forbided students from use of use of mobile phone, this hampered the communication.Comparision round could not take place due to the vast difference in topics

REFLECTION time
SANCHIT:
it was a small step towards spreading the significant message about child labor, but I feel these small steps only could lead to something big one day. We equally divided all the work among ourselves, and each one of us passionately worked towards the cause.
THE ONLY ASPECT THAT FRITTERED OVER OUR HEARTS AWFULLY WAS THE LACK OF TIME MANAGEMENT BUT STILL WE OVERCAME IT BY THE IMMENSE DEDICATION BY OUR TEACHERS WHO GUIDED US AT EVERY POINT OF TIME.
IT WAS A VERY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE THROUGH WHICH I HAVE LEARNED A LOT. UNFORTUNATELY, WE DIDN’T GET ANY CHANCE OF COLLABORATION WITH OTHER SCHOOL.
ARJAV :
EUMINDS provided me with the the delicacies of hardwork, teamwork and time management. It eminently executed it’s job to deliver a heartfelt social message with us as a medium.
We differentiated ourselves to carry out various tasks and worked in complete harmony. The only aspect that frittered over our hearts awfully was the lack of time management but still we overcame it by the immense dedication by our teachers who guided us at every point of time. Our main method of gathering information was to gain different prospectives from knowledgeable personalities.
This eventually trained our minds upon exclusively interpreting the available time in a fruitful manner. This helped us gain different views and present our project in a concise manner. We were unhappy for getting no chance of collaboration with other school but still we gave our best.Overall, this EUMINDS was PROFITABLE.

DEEVeeSHA:
Eumind has been a really amazing experience and an opportunity for me and my teammates as it has taught us the skills of time management, hard work, and teamwork.
It has helped us develop our interactive skills by encouraging us to take interviews with knowledgeable people.
We were able to learn and share knowledge with others. Our teachers were always there to help us and guided us in every step. We had divided the work equally among ourselves.
Our method of gaining knowledge was by taking interviews with different people. It was a very unique experience through which I have learned a lot. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any chance of collaboration with other school.
RAEeSA:
Euminds HAS HELPED US DEVELOP OUR INTERACTIVE SKILLS BY ENCOURAGING US TO TAKE INTERVIEWS WITH KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE.IT WAS A VERY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE THROUGH WHICH I HAVE LEARNED A LOT. THE ONLY aspect that disappointed us WAS THE LACK OF TIME MANAGEMENT. THIS EVENTUALLY TRAINED OUR MINDS to catch hold of THE AVAILABLE TIME IN A useful MANNER. WE HAD DIVIDED THE WORK EQUALLY AMONG OURSELVES.UNFORTUNATELY, WE DIDN’T GET ANY CHANCE OF COLLABORATION WITH OTHER SCHOOL.
