ARTICLE - RIGHT TO FOOD AND SHELTER
The Right to Food and Shelter is a fundamental human right recognized by the United Nations and many countries around the world. It is the right of every person to have access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food, as well as the right to have access to adequate housing and other basic necessities of life.
The Right to Food is essential for the survival and well-being of all individuals, as it is necessary for their physical and mental development. The right to shelter is also critical, as it provides a safe and secure place for people to live, sleep, and protect themselves from the elements.
Unfortunately, many people around the world still struggle to access these basic necessities. Poverty, conflict, and natural disasters can all contribute to food insecurity and homelessness. In order to address these issues, it is necessary for governments and international organizations to work together to ensure that all people have the resources they need to meet their basic needs.
There are a number of initiatives and programs in place to address the right to food and shelter, including food aid programs, housing initiatives, and efforts to increase food security. These efforts can help to improve the lives of millions of people around the world and help to ensure that everyone has access to the basic necessities of life.
In conclusion, the right to food and shelter is a fundamental human right that must be upheld and protected. By working together and taking action, we can help to ensure that all people have access to the resources they need to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Q&A - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Which social injustice did you choose to highlight?
Ans: We, the members of group 4 have chosen to highlight the social injustcice regarding the Right to Food and Shelter.
2. Explain how you first learned about this social injustice or abuse in your area.
Ans: When me and a few of my friends were on our way to a pizza shop after exams, under a bridge we saw a teen, alone, selling toys. All of us felt sad for that guy and found out that he was an orphan and was deprived of food and shelter. We then fed him food for a day or two and meanwhile we took the effort to contact an orphanage which agreed to admit the teen and provide him his fundamental right to food and shelter. It was this incident which inspired us to take up "The Right to Food and Shelter" as the social injustice.
3. Why does this injustice demonstrate a violation of the human rights?
Ans: This injustice is a violation of the human rights as defined by the united nations because it deprives the victim of the basic needs required to sustain life which include food and shelter.
4. Which human rights are violated?

These rights are recognized in various international human rights instruments, including the universal declaration of human rights and the international covenant on economic, social and cultural rights.
5. To what extent does such social wrong anger you?
Ans: The social wrong of being deprived of the basic adequate needs of food and shelter angers us more than any other social wrong. It angers us to an extent that we ourselves wish to jump in and help all such victims of this social wrong.
INTERVIEW 1: JOSEPH SIR
SUMMARY OF THE FIRST INTERVIEW
Children are the most vulnerable individuals in the world, and the places that take in these vulnerable kids and provide them with food, shelter and care for their health and hygiene are orphanages. On that note, Mr. Joseph Shinde, the administrative manager at the Anmol orphanage was the first person we interviewed. He is based in Mumbai and has been striving to improve the social aspects of our country for the last 25 years.
One of the main challenges he encountered was the lack of community awareness about this project. In this orphanage, the kids learn how to stand on their own two feet, be self-sufficient, and confront the outside world. The kids are given a good education, and some of them have even interacted with famous celebrities. Mr. Joseph believes that the dalmians would greatly benefit the community by raising awareness so that individuals may view the world in a different perspective.
This interview was undoubtedly a tremendous learning experience for all of us and we were all delighted to meet Mr. Joseph Shinde, the man who founded his orphanage with a single vada pav.

PART 3: COMMUNICATION REPORT
We arrived at this stage after numerous zoom meetings, sit-throughs, after-school sessions, and conversations during breaks. We all interacted and communicated quite well, and we eventually saw the results of our tough grind. Through this endeavour, we acquired many skills that will aid us in moving forward. Our partner school however, could not communicate through whatsapp as their school's policy goes against sharing their phone numbers and email IDs.

PART 4: COMPARISION, REFLECTION
AND SELF-ASSESMENT
AND SELF-ASSESMENT
COMPARISION
Unfortunately, we could not compare the projects because although our projects were aligned with the previous partner school, they backed out. The present school has a policy which restricts the students from using phone numbers hence communication on whatsapp could not be done. Also, they have different topics than ours, which is why we could not compare the projects.
